CYLINDER FILLING TECHNOLOGY
These LPG carousel filling plants are particularly used for filling systems with a higher filling capacity. The cylinder conveyance to one of the max. 24 filling scales on a closed circular platform as well as the transport to the testing and control systems is carried out automatically by means of a chain conveyor with pneumatic auxiliary equipment. The continuous adjustment of the rotational speed of the platform allows the adaptation to the size of cylinders to be filled. The type of construction allows a maximal filling capacity with a minimal employment of staff.
Our cylinder filling carousel plants are available in following executions:
- Electronic filling carousel K5E with 5 filling scales, capacity max. 190 cylinders per hour with 11 kg-cylinders respectively 140 cylinders per hour with 21 kg
- Electronic filling carousel K7E with 7 filling scales, capacity max. 320 cylinders per hour with 11 kg-cylinders respectively 240 cylinders per hour with 21 kg
- Electronic filling carousel K12E with 12 filling scales, capacity max. 580 cylinders per hour with 11 kg-cylinders respectively 410 cylinders per hour with 21 kg
- Electronic filling carousel K18E with 18 filling scales, capacity max. 880 cylinders per hour with 11 kg-cylinders respectively 660 cylinders per hour with 21 kg
- Electronic filling carousel K24E with 24 filling scales, capacity max. 1180 cylinders per hour with 11 kg-cylinders respectively 890 cylinders per hour with 21 kg
Equipment for weight check, cylinder valve sealing, tightness testing may be offered optionally.

Inline filling systems with roller conveyor can be equipped with up to 8 filling scales. The cylinders reach the filling station at irregular intervals. The transport of cylinders between filling scales, check scale, tightness testing unit and shrinking machine is facilitated for the operator by the use of roller conveyors. Due to the slight slope of the roller conveyor the transport of the gas cylinders takes place automatically.

- Manual inline cylinder filling plant with roller conveyor and 1 up to 8 filling scales, max. 50-260 cylinders per hour with 11 kg

Inline filling system with driven chain conveyor are suitable for average filling capacities and can be operated with max. 10 filling scales. The transport of cylinders to filling or to check scale, tightness test unit or shrinking machine is carried out automatically by means of a driven chain conveyor with pneumatic auxiliary equipment
Our inline cylinder filling plants are available in following executions:
- Manual inline cylinder filling plant with roller conveyor and 2 up to 10 filling scales, max. 60-250 cylinders per hour with 11 kg
For container as well as for filling plants, products of companies NINNELT and FAS are combined for the respective application purpose according to customer specification and assembled ready for connection in the factory in Salzgitter. Under consideration of the corresponding country-specific regulations the combination of a cylinder filling plant with corresponding evacuation unit and LPG dispenser or with corresponding complete mobile cylinder filling plant is possible among others.

Filling scale type WAER 100 ex/e for gravimetric filling of liquefied gases such as propane / butane and other industrial gases with separate adjustment of tare and filling weight. When reaching the adjusted filling weight a further filling is automatically stopped.

For the smooth operation of a cylinder filling plant some supplementary equipment is required besides one or several filling scales for optimizing safety, employment of staff and economic efficiency:
Check scales
The application purpose of the check scale WER 100 ex is the check weighing of the filled propane / butane gas cylinders. The scale is available as standalone check scale as well as for installation in roller or chain conveyor filling plant (carousel and inline filling plant).
Tightness test units
The application purpose of the electronic tightness testing unit is the 100%-testing of tightness of the cylinder valves in valve opening and in screwed thread.
Possible versions: Type MED for semi-automatic testing and type AED for fully automatic testing
Shrinking machines
Shrinking caps are put over the cylinder valve and hot air of 90-95°C is blown on the shrinking caps. The shrinking caps shrink and thus enclose the valve firmly. The valve may only be opened after having fractured the shrinking cap. This method is a preferential safety function and protection measure for the transport of gas cylinders from manufacturer respectively bottler to end user as guarantee for quality and completely of gas cylinder.
Possible versions:
- Type MS for manual sealing of gas cylinder valves by means of dry-heated air
- Type AS for automatic sealing of gas cylinder valves by means dry-heated air
Evacuation units
These evacuation units are used for automatic and safe emptying of leaky gas cylinders and return of the residual gas into storage tanks. These systems are available in different versions for emptying of up to 5 gas cylinders simultaneously (evacuation rack) as well as of 8 cylinders and more as high-performance evacuation unit which includes a buffer tank, a compressor unit and an electric control unit mounted on a modular base frame. These units can be used for small and for large gas cylinders.
